John Steven's residence on Wisconsin Ave. in 1890. The house was built in 1885. The house is Queen Ann style that boasted patterned masonary chimneys. It also had big cutaway ornamentation and decorative half-timbering whereverit would fit. There are delicately turned porch supports and spindle work ornamentation. The front doors had delicate incised decorative detailing and a large pain of glass on each door. Every device to avoid a flat surface was employed. The basement even had a bowling alley. |
